The former YOTV presenter Sade Giliberti took to Instagram on Sunday, 24 March to announce her ninth anniversary with her bae Coco Chane.
SADE GILIBERTI AND HER PARTNER MARK THEIR NINTH ANNIVERSARY
Sade Giliberti and her partner Coco Chane have been together for almost a decade. The South African child star penned her other half a sweet message on their anniversary.
“A magical 9 years with you, in this city. Let’s pick a warmer city after we hit 10 years, deal? To us, lover 🥂,” Giliberti wrote.
The lovebirds got engaged last year in August. However, there has not been any indication that the duo has tied the knot as yet, according to their social media posts. Nonetheless, what is evident is that they simply enjoy spending time together.
In the early 2000s, Giliberti was a TV presenter alongside Carly Fields and Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya on the SABC 1’s teen variety show YOTV. When she was 19 years old, Giliberti revealed to her add that she was a lesbian. According to SowetanLIVE, before she came out, she feared how she would be perceived — her father on the other hand, had other fears.
“I remember he was so shocked and angry‚ even though I had had my 1st GF by this time‚ who had been in our house many times and looked gay AF.
“[Me coming out] was a possibility that this could have ‘ruined my career’. My father feared the same thing‚ more so he feared for my safety. Correctional rape had started to rear its ugly face. It didn’t ruin my career [though] and I was in fact one of the lucky ones to have remained safe!” Giliberti was quoted as saying.
WHERE IS THE FORMER ‘YOTV’ PRESENTER NOW?
Sade Giliberti is now 38, based in London, and lives with her fiancée. According to KayaFM, taking to TikTok previously, she went into a rage after some of her social media followers had some harsh comments about her physical appearance.
“Wow, y’all are obsessed with age hey. You love to come up here and be like, oh my gosh, you’ve aged, wow you look so old. Thank you very much for being so rude. Firstly, you don’t say that to people, what’s wrong with you?
“Yes, I’ve aged, that’s what people do, we grow old. You remember me from your childhood, childhood! People get older guys, it’s what we do, we grow up. Which means you’ve also grown old,” the TV star was quoted as saying.
Giliberti is still working in front of the camera. However, she is now an actress in the United Kingdom. According to the imdb website, over the years, the former presenter-turned-actress has starred in Spectrum London (2017), The Chelsea Detective (2022), and Rye Lane (2023).
