Rough Diamond or RD (real name Dumisani Ndlazi) is breathing fire after Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) star Nonku Williams accused him of scamming her.

During the second episode of the fourth season of the Showmax reality series, the businesswoman told her sister that Rough Diamond (who is her ex-boyfriend) stole material from her company.

“He actually ended up stealing, by the way,” Nonku told her sister on the show.

“That man scammed me!” Nonku continued. “He stole material from the site worth R300 000. “

Further explaining to her sister, the mother-of-three – who is in the construction industry – said that her employees were aware of what RD was allegedly doing but were afraid to speak up.

As a result of the allegations, Rough Diamond has set his lawyers on the reality TV star.

In a letter of demand shared on his social media, Rough Diamond said that Nonku had financial problems in her business when they met in 2022 and asked for partnership to assist her financially. In fact, he claims that Nonku is broke and is pretending to be living an opulent lifestyle.

“You accused our client of stealing materials from your company worth R300 000 and this was done in a TV and various social media. You made such allegations knowing very well that are untruthful and unlawful but continued to publish it with the sole intention of causing damage to our client’s reputation and dignity.

“It is our instructions that these allegations levelled against our client were made in an effort to damage the good name of client in both his personal and professional capacity,” the letter said.

“In the light of the above we hereby demand that you immediately retract and remove all social media posts and/ or pages on social media platforms containing any false and defamatory information or misrepresentations such as those explained in the letter,” the letter continued.

Rough Diamond has given Nonku until 8 March 2024 at 16:00, to issue a written apology and share it on all social media platforms.

“Should you fail to publicly apologise to our client as outlined above, we shall have no alternative but to take further legal action against you for damage on the ground of defamation. Take note that costs of such proceedings will be in your account,” read the letter.
