Ouch! Rassie Erasmus reveals ‘chemical burns’ after freak accident

Yikes! Rassie Erasmus took to X and showed off his extremely graphic ‘chemical burns’ following a freak accident.

South Africa’s director of rugby Rassie Erasmus finally revealed his graphic chemical burn marks via a post on X (the social media platform previously known as Twitter) – this comes several days after SA Rugby Mag reported that he was involved in a freak accident.

Last month, a statement doing the rounds on social media announced that Rassie Erasmus was hospitalised after he sustained chemical burns in a freak accident involving a “powerful detergent product”.

“Rassie Erasmus, SA Rugby’s Director of Rugby, is recovering in hospital following a medical procedure for chemical burns sustained in a freak accident using a powerful detergent product. He is otherwise in good health and expects to return to full-time working within weeks,” the statement read as quoted by the publication.

Erasmus has recently posted pictures of his burns on X. His best fans and social media followers have since wished him a speedy recovery as seen in the comment section.
