‘Pambili Nkabi yam’: Big Zulu shows off expensive birthday present [photos]

South African rapper Big Zulu has wowed many with his 38th birthday present, which has since thrust him into the top trends.

South African rapper Big Zulu is making headlines against the backdrop of his birthday. Big Zulu’s age left many puzzled. No doubt the award-winning rapper is younger than he looks.

Over the years, Big Zulu has managed to keep his private life under wraps, leaving many to guess even about his age.

However, Mzansi quickly connected the dots about his age against the backdrop of his birthday. The Inkabi Records owner was born on 7 April 1986 in Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal.

No doubt over the years, rumour mill had it that the rapper was born on 18 November 1984. To celebrate his 38th birthday, Big Zulu seemingly spoilt himself with two whips.

Taking to Instagram, Big Zulu showed off a new haulage truck and sleek BMW, which he mentioned as “Birthday Present”. He captioned the posts “My Birthday Present. Nyiyabonga Kakhulu.”

Big Zulu’s photos posing next to the truck and the car have gained thousands of comments and reactions. Fellow celebrities and fans were quick to flood his comments section with congratulatory messages.

Bubbly actress and musician Simz Ngema posted, “Congratulations, big bro”. On the other hand, award-winning singer Heavy K commented, “Pambili Nkabi yam.”

Undoubtedly, the BMW is the latest addition to his impressive car collection, dominated by German automobiles.

Big Zulu reportedly owns a 3.0-litre BMW M3. He also has a Ranger Rover Sport. No doubt he has been spotted several times taking a spin with this beast. After all, he has a soft spot for Gusheshes and has a sleek BMW 325i Gusheshe convertible to show for it. He also owns a VW Golf GTI.

CAREER

Surprisingly, the rapper was a taxi driver for years before pursuing his musical career. Over the years, Big Zulu has quickly become one of the most sought-after South African rappers.

Since his thrust into the limelight, he has been winning big. He shot into stardom in 2016 after he dropped his single Donsa Nkabi barely a year after being signed by Universal.

In 2018, Big Zulu dropped his first debut album and in 2019, he released another one. Big Zulu’s third album, Ichwane Lenyoka, was a banger that spawned three chart-topping singles, Mali Eningi, Inhlupheko and Umuzi eSandton.

The star has also had his fair share of fame on the small screen. No doubt he is a jack of all trades.
