Outspoken human rights activist Ntsiki Mazwai has once again shared her controversial opinion online. The poet and podcaster usually manages to ruffle many feathers with her views and thoughts on just about anything. This time, she aimed her flaming gun — or rather mouth — at black women who choose to wear wigs and suffer the consequences because of their insecurities .

South African entrepreneur Ntsiki Mazwai is not afraid to tell it like it is — or at least how she thinks it is.

The controversial activist finds herself “stirring the pot” more often than not with her sharp tongue and fearless persona.

This time she has taken to the Twitterverse to share her opinion on wigs.

According to the post that was shared last week, black women who wear wigs are borderline mentally ill and have deep-rooted insecurity issue.

“First we need to address the mental illness of having 2 sets of hair on your head because you hate your hair so much….let’s start with the self-esteem issue ravaging black women.,” she said.

Mzansi weighs in

The post certainly got people discussing wigs and black women. For a change, more people agreed with Ntsiki about her sentiments.

Others naturally blasted her for her harsh opinion.

“One day the will be a generation that will read about our life time and the things we do and they will be confused AF like what was wrong with these people.. lapho we think we the woke generation,” one person said while another wrote:

“Hair extensions are as old as time… Trust that no one is going to change their mind because you deem it an issue it’s not…. Not everything is about self esteem… Your esteem could be low with an afro… A hairstyle has very little to do with how you esteem yourself.”
