TS Records has been topping trends in the backdrop of Zahara’s death. The multi-award-winning singer died on 11 December 2023 at a private Johannesburg hospital.
Her untimely death comes barely a few weeks after her traditional wedding reception, which was held in November. Confirmed reports have it that against her admission, she was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) because of her medical condition.

ZAHARA’S ROYALTY WOES
However, in the backdrop of her untimely death, social media has been flooded with messages of condolences from celebrities, government officials and fans.
DJ Sbu and TK Nciza are credited for thrusting Zahara into the limelight through their now-defunct record label, TS Records. The two also joined a host of celebrities who have paid tribute to the star. However, Mzansi was quick to take a swipe at them for allegedly swindling Zahara’s royalties.

Over the years, Zahara made it known that TS Records swindled her royalties. She once claimed that the record label owed her over R10 million royalties. DJ Sbu and TK Nciza have often rubbished the claims and made it known that her royalties were paid directly into her account.
However, their woes quickly implicated Mzekezeke into the mix. Fans believe Mzekezeke is “The only artist not to complain about TS Records.”

MZEKEZEKE, THE ONCE FAMOUS FAXCE FOR TS RECORDS
Mzekeze had his shot at fame in the 2000s but disappeared from the spotlight in the backdrop of his fame. The Kwaito sensation was best known for his energetic performance in orange overalls and a mask. He was also signed under TS Records.
Over the years, Mzansi has been convinced that Mzekezeke is DJ Sbu. However, the DJ has often rubbished the claims. Of interest is that he is the only one who knows what Mzekezeke has been up to over the years.
