‘Hands off Moses’: Ntsiki defends Anele Tembe’s dad amid speculation

Over the last week, social media has been set alight with posts about slain rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes. This is after the seven suspects arrested in connection with his murder appeared in court. The 35-year-old was shot and killed outside Wish restaurant in Durban on 10 February last year.

Many have shared their thoughts on the latest developments in the case. Some of them even speculated that Anele Tembe — AKA’s late ex-girlfriend’s — father Mose Tembe had something to do with it.

Controversial poet and activist Ntsiki Mazwai has since slammed those people in defence of Moses who previously denied any involvement in AKA’s passing.

On Thursday morning this week, five of the seven suspects in AKA’s murder case made their first appearance in court.

Their capture has sparked varied reactions from social media users who are eagerly waiting to get justice for the late rapper.

This week, poet and activist Ntsiki Mazwai also weighed in on the case. She has made it clear that she is supporting Anele Tembe — AKA’s ex-girlfriend who died after reportedly jumping from a hotel building after the two of them fought.

“You don’t know what he’s been doing to me”, wrote Ntsiki quoting what Anele had said about AKA before her death in 2021.

“We will always remember you, Anele Tembe … May your family find peace and forgiveness,” wrote Ntsiki.

She has also shown support to Anele’s father Moses who has been accused by certain social media users of having been involved in AKA’s passing.

“HANDS OFF MOSES TEMBE!!!!!!” she wrote, also adding, “That is a grieving father boSwine!!!”

Mzansi weighs in

The post sparked a heated debate around AKA’s passing and whether he should be blamed for Anele’s death.

“Tony isn’t a grieving father? His son was murdered like a dog,” one person said while another added:

“You are doing too much.”
