Award-winning actress Masasa Mbangeni has joined Netflix’s spy-thriller Heart of a Hunter alongside Connie Ferguson and Bonko Khoza.

ACTRESS SECURES ROLE IN ‘HEART OF HUNTER’

IMBD reports that the award-winning actress Masasa Mbangeni, who’s popularly known for her roles in The River and Scandal! will portray the character of Malime Mambi in Heart of a Hunter.

Netflix confirms that the upcoming film, Heart of the Hunter, is a twisty spy-thriller based on the novel by acclaimed author Deon Meyer and directed by the renowned Mandla Dube (Silverton Siege).

It also features an all-star cast such as Connie Chiume, Bonko Khoza, Connie Ferguson, Sisanda Henna and so many more. The spy-thriller will launch on Netflix in the first quarter of 2024.

MASASA MBANGENI: PREVIOUS TV ROLES

TVSA reports that the Heart of a Hunter actress Masasa Mbangeni has also starred in TV shows such as HouseKeepers seasons one and two, Devil’s Peak, Harvest and many more.

The isiXhosa actress is best known for her starring role as the arch-villain Thembeka Shezi on the e.tv’s soapie Scandal!.

The publication adds that Mbangeni was nominated twice for Best Actress in a TV Soap at the SAFTAs for her role on Scandal! from 2014 and 2015 and won the award in 2015.
