‘Back in hospital’: Mark Pilgrim’s fiancée Adrienne Watkins in hospital

Adrienne Watkins, the woman who was engaged to the late Hot 102.7 FM broadcaster Mark Pilgrim is in hospital, the Citizen reported. This was reported just days after marking the first anniversary of Pilgrim’s death.

Adrienne Watkins is said to have shared that she is back in hospital via an Instagram post. The post is also said to have been in reminiscent of Mark Pilgrim’s countless pictures in the hospital.

“Back in hospital to get all the heavy metal removed from my ankle. So grateful this is behind me,” Watkins was quoted as saying. “Back on crutches and pimping my knee scooter with a special teddy from my beautiful nieces to keep me safe for the next while till I can walk again,” she reportedly added.

Last week, Watkins mourned her late fiancé on her feed. Pilgrim passed away at the age of 53 on 5 March 2023. He died after battling stage 4 lung cancer, EWN reported. He was diagnosed in February 2022 and his cancer is said to have spread to his spine and lymph nodes.

Months before he died, Pilgrim decided to pop the big question to Watkins and she has recently paid tribute to him on her feed. 

“I can’t believe it’s been a year without you my love bug. My heart hurts so much. It feels like yesterday and at the same time an eternity. I wish more than anything we had more time,” TshisaLIVE quoted Watkins’ tribute.

RADIO STATION MOURNS THE LATE BROADCASTER

Hot 102.7 FM also paid tribute to Mark Pilgrim on the first anniversary of his death. The popular radio station took to Instagram and shared several photos of the late broadcaster in a heartbreaking post.

“Today marks exactly one year since we lost Mark Pilgrim. The devoted father of two lost his battle with cancer on this day last year at the age of 53. We take a look back at the life and legacy of our friend and colleague, who is sorely missed every day here at Hot House,” the radio station captioned the post.
