‘They say it would get easier’ – Lynn Forbes yet to come to terms with AKA’s death

Ten months after the untimely death of AKA, Lynn Forbes is yet to come to terms with her son’s death. The police are yet to make a breakthrough despite claiming to have leads.

With Christmas around the corner, several celebrities have started decorating their homes with Christmas trees and lights. No doubt, this has quickly become a world norm, which South Africa hasn’t been spared from.

Heartbroken Lynn Forbes took to Instagram to share her last Christmas photo with AKA. She captioned the post, “They say it would get easier. That’s just not true for me. Why?”

The photo has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped on the internet. Lynn held hands with AKA in the now-viral photo while Kairo watched them in all smiles.

Over the years, the late rapper made priceless moments with his family during festive celebrations and would constantly let Mzansi sneak peek through his social media pages. Fans were quick to flood Lynn Forbes’ comment section with comforting comments.

Barely a few weeks ago, she hogged headlines when she revealed that she had kept her son’s shoes from the accident. She revealed this in season three of DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected.

Lynn Forbes said, “I don’t wanna get rid of it. I have to decide in my mind where do I want this to go? What do I do with these shoes? These are the shoes he was wearing. I have to go through his stuff and get rid of things,”
