Limpopo star Shebeshxt steals Emtee’s crowd [watch]

South African musician Shebeshxt has taken the country by storm. The unorthodox performer went viral and social media and is now riding the wave of his fame. In fact, a video which was shared online shows how the crowd reacted to him coming on stage after a performance by one of the country’s most popular rappers Emtee.

Many are now saying that Emtee was booted off the stage by the crowd who clearly love Shebeshxt.

Shebeshxt proves to be more popular than Emtee

Years ago, Emtee was one of the biggest stars in South Africa.

With hits like Pearl Thusi, Roll Up and We Up, the young star took the music world by storm. Unfortunately, drug abuse and allegations of gender-based violence in his marriage to Nicole Chinsamy led to his downfall.

While he is still a great performer and very much loved by his fans, it would appear he has some healthy competition.

A video of the crowd excitedly calling SA’s newly famous Shebeshxt to the stage after Emtee’s performance has gone viral.

Judging by their reaction, they couldn’t wait for Emtee to finish so they could see the young rising star perform.

Many headed to the comment section to share their thoughts on Emtee and Shebeshxt.

“I feel for Emtee. But he really need to sober up his mind, you’d see him when he turn around after shaking hand with Shebeshxt that he doesn’t have stable walkie,” one person commented while another wrote:

“Well fame is short lived for everyone… he had his turn.”
