‘Kaizer Chiefs future in limbo?’ – More alleged misconduct reports against Khune emerge

Fans were more than convinced that Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune’s future is in limbo after more misconduct reports emerged.

Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune’s future with the Soweto giants is in limbo after a string of misconduct allegations. Khune is making headlines after Sunday World reported that the star was suspended after reportedly coming to training drunk.

Sunday World has it that Khune and Mduduzi Mdantsane have been allegedly suspended from club activities for ill-discipline after arriving at training under the influence of alcohol.

MORE ALLEGED MISCONDUCT REPORTS AGAINST KAIZER CHIEFS CAPTAIN KHUNE EMERGE

Despite the news thrusting Khune and Kaizer Chiefs into the top trends, both parties have yet to respond to the daring claims that have taken a toll on the club’s image.

Unconfirmed reports have it that the captain will face a disciplinary hearing next week. However, in the background of the ill-discipline rumours, the captain is said to be embroiled in several misconduct allegations, from disclosing sensitive club information to taking a swipe at the club.

Against these allegations, many were more than convinced that his Kiazer Chiefs future might be in limbo. Reports have it that Khune faces a lengthy suspension.

DISCLOSING BRANDON PETERSON’S MENTAL HEALTH STRUGGLES

Reports have it that he was recently under fire for revealing Brandon Peterson’s mental health struggles to the public. According to FarPost, Peterson’s management team complained to the club.

ALLEGEDLY REFUSING MEDIA INTERVIEWS

On the other hand, Itumeleng Khune reportedly refused to do interviews at Dr Motaung’s Hall of Fame induction. Rumour mill has it that Khune was asked to have an interview as the club’s captain and longest-serving member of the current squad, but he seemingly refused.

CONTRADICTING RETIREMENT STATEMENT

In the backdrop of his contract woes, he has often taken a swipe at the club with cryptic posts. This year, Kaizer Chiefs made it known that Khune might be integrated into the club’s hierarchy, but the star dropped a bombshell on his future.

He made it known that he is keen to play until his 40s. Itumeleng Khune reportedly said: “There is no difference with me. Whenever I am given an opportunity, I will perform so I can get a new contract. I mentioned at the start of the season that my body can carry me until I am over 40.”
