SONIA BOOTH’S CHEATING ALLEGATIONS

In November 2022, Booth’s estranged wife, Sonia, exposed him for cheating. The 2001 Miss South Africa second princess shared evidence to support her claims on her husband’s alleged cheating escapades.

According to Sonia, Booth had been using their joint bank account and her vehicle, which has a tracker in it, to spend quality time with Mthombeni-Moller. The two allegedly took a road trip to Empangeni in KwaZulu-Natal; they spent Valentine’s Day together and also had lunch dates. She also claimed that the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns star baked a cheesecake cake, for his alleged girlfriend, on the eve of their son’s birthday that they thought they would feast on as a family.

In response to the allegations, the soccer pundit released a statement claiming the allegations were “unfounded”. Mthombeni-Moller also denied the accusations in a court application seeking an order to compel Sonia to remove the allegedly defamatory statements from her social media accounts.

DEFAMATION CASE DISMISSED WITH COST

Sonia has since won the defamation case against Mthombeni-Moller, with cost.

According to Zimoja, the case was dismissed, and Mthombeni-Moller was ordered to pay Sonia’s legal fees of over R75 000.

However, the “new” woman in Booth’s life told the publication that she is dealing with the cost order and requested a hearing, which is set for May.

“If you read the papers you’d see that the matter was dismissed due to lack of urgency and not due to merit. The costs order is being dealt with legally via the taxation process. The matter has been set down for taxation. Even she known this,” Mthombeni-Moller said.
