Former Metro FM radio host, Glen Lewis has left Radio 2000 to pave the way for DJ Sbu, who will host the breakfast slot.

GLEN LEWIS JOINS KAYA?

The Citizen reports that broadcaster Glen Lewis bid farewell to Radio 2000 on Friday, 29 March morning.

“My time at Radio 2000 has been a valuable chapter,” said the veteran radio host.

“As we part ways, I carry with me the laughter, the challenges and the growth. Farewell buzzers,” averred the Morning Buzz host in a statement after his last instalment of the show.

He hosted the Radio 2000 breakfast show together with Nathi Ndamase and Lelo Mzaca.

Sunday World reports that Glen Lewis, real name Mpotseng Tshinaba resigned from the SABC station to join Kaya 959.

Insiders from Radio 2000 told the publication that Tshinaba didn’t want to renew his contract which is going to be announced in April.

“But he told us in confidence that his next move is to go to Kaya FM and that he had already put pen to paper,” said the employee.

Another employee said Lewis is going to be the anchor of the afternoon drive show on Gauteng’s Kaya 959.

“He did not tell us how much they were offering him, but he would not have left a radio station of Radio 2000 ‘s stature for a regional radio station if the
offer was not mouthwatering,” said the employee.

DJ SBU: NEW SLOT ON RADIO 2000

IOL reports that media personality DJ Sbu will host Radio 2000’s new breakfast show to replace radio legend Glen Lewis.

DJ Sbu returns to radio after nearly a decade to join Nathi Ndamase as co-host and Lelo Mzaca as the sports anchor.

“If an opportunity to represent my country presents itself I’ll gladly take it on,” said DJ Sbu on his podcast last year.

“And for the right commercial deal, I’ll definitely go back to SABC and serve my country.”

“Even if it’s not too much money or it is less than what I’m making on my own hustle… I wouldn’t put money first.”
