‘Genocidal lunatic’: Elon Musk takes fresh jab at Malema

Last year, X users were left thoroughly taken aback after the world’s wealthiest man Elon Musk spoke out about Julius Malema chanting ‘Kill The Boer’. Musk — who was born in SA but has lived in the US since he was 17 — condemned President Cyril Ramaphosa over his silence regarding Malema’s ‘inciting genocide on white people’. Bizarrely, Malema swore at Musk and then later pretended not to know who the Tesla and SpaceX founder is.

Just when everyone thought it was all water under the bridge for the two, Musk took a fresh jab at Malema by calling him a “genocidal lunatic”.

Last year, EFF Chief in Command Julius Malema went head to head with Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk.

This after Musk condemned Malema’s insistence on chanting apartheid struggle song, Kill The Boer.

Malema then went on to call the tech genius “illiterate” and “racist”. He also pretended not to know who the SpaceX founder is.

Things quieted down between the pair until a few days ago when Musk referred to Malema as a “genocidal lunatic” after watching the EFF leader deliver a speech about how killing is part of a revolution.

In the comment section, many of social media users shared their thoughts on the “beef”.

“This is really really bad for South Africa. This surge of hate against white people is becoming increasingly concerning. If we’re not careful this will take over the whole world.” one person said while another wrote:

“Thank god @elonmusk got out of there!”
