‘Generations’ Kope Makgae lands role in ‘Isiphetho: The Destiny’

TV personality and actor Kope Makgae, aka Tswyza, will lead the cast of e.tv’s upcoming 18:30 TV show, Isiphetho: The Destiny.

KOPE MAKGAE: LATEST ROLE

TVSA reports that the Limpopo-born actor Kope Makgae will portray the role of Mosa in Isiphetho: The Destiny.

The story follows the intertwined lives of four friends who were bound by a life-changing secret during their teenage years.

The friends decide to open a restaurant in their community. However, their past rivals threaten to thwart their dreams.

“This family-oriented drama series features a diverse cast of characters as they navigate the complexities of community life in Mzimhlope,” the channel said.

Makgae will star alongside The Wife actress Mbalenhle Mavimbela who will play the character of Buhle.

He will also be joined by Uzalo actress Gugu Gumede as Connie and Gomora star Thulani Mtsweni as Mkhapheni.

Makgae is also known for his roles in Isidingo, Rhythm City, Zone 14, Ashes to Ashes, Inkaba and many more.

BACKGROUND OF ‘ISIPHETHO: THE DESTINY’

Isiphetho: The Destiny actor Kope Makgae will also act alongside legendary actress Linda Sokhulu who will portray Blondie. 

Black Brain Pictures’ director, Mandla N, reveals to Zimoja that the show is set in the heart of Soweto amidst the vibrant community of Mzimhlope.

The story follows the intertwined lives of four friends who were bound by a life-changing secret during their teenage years.

The four friends are played by Makgae, Mbalenhle Mavimbela, Tsholo Maseko and Upile uThixo Bongco.

Maseko will play the character of Portia, while Upile uThixo Bongco will play Ntando.

The upcoming show has replaced the canned telenovela, Nikiwe and will premiere on e.tv on 22 April at 18:30.
