Actor Muzi Mthabela bags role on ‘My Brother’s Keeper’

‘Generations: The Legacy’ actor Muzi Mthabela has landed a role on Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, ‘My Brother’s Keeper’.

Former Imbewu: The Seed actor Muzi Mthabela, who plays Nkosiyabo Cele in Generations: The Legacy has joined My Brother’s Keeper.

MUZI MTHABELA: LATEST ROLE

Entertainment commentator Jabu Mcdonald reports that talented actor Muzi Mthabela will play Mshengu’s brother in My Brother’s Keeper.

Mthabela’s brother is portrayed by former Isidingo star Lindani Nkosi, who portrays the villainous role of Mshengu.

The Generations: The Legacy actor debuted on the SABC1 soapie on 6 December 2021 as Siphesihle Cele’s uncle, Nkosiyabo Cele.

This is after he exited e.tv’s cancelled telenovela Imbewu: The Seed. Mthabela’s character is very protective of Sphe (Pearl Monama) and will fight her battles with the Morokas.   

It is unclear at this stage how long the talented actor will be on the Mzansi Magic telenovela.

‘MY BROTHER’S KEEPER’ SEASON TWO

The Rhythm World Production’s telenovela My Brother’s Keeper which stars Muzi Mthabela, Wiseman Mncube has been renewed for a second season.

The Broadcast Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) February 2024 figures reveal that the telenovela is the fourth most-watched show on DStv.

The telenovela received 688 431 views in February compared to the January views of 763 825, when the show was fifth position.

The show’s viewers declined in March when it gained fifth position and received over 600 000 viewers in March.

The Mzansi Magic show stars actors Wiseman Mncube who plays Nqubeko Shabalala, and Zola Nombona who portrays Fakazile Shabalala.

Other leading stars include Sdumo Mtshali who plays Donga Shabalala and Lindani Nkosi who plays the patriarch of the Shabalala family, Mshengu.

The telenovela is produced by Rhythm World Production which produces hit telenovelas Umkhokha: The Curse and Sibongile and The Dlaminis.
