Mine de Klerk, the wife of Springboks scrumhalf Faf de Klerk, shared a rare photo of their baby girl Remi-Ré de Klerk via an Instagram post on Wednesday, 24 April.

Faf de Klerk and his wife Mine welcomed their first child together in February this year. Mine gave birth to Remi-Ré de Klerk on 27 February at Rosepark Hospital in Bloemfontein. Eight weeks later, Mine has shared a rare photo of their baby girl. Take a look…

Faf and Mine welcomed their first child after Eben and Anlia Etzebeth welcomed their first baby in January. Handre and Marise Pollard are expected to welcome their baby boy this month. This means there are already three new “Bok babies” joining the Springboks family in 2024.
While Anlia and Marise both announced their pregnancies after the Rugby World Cup in 2023, Mine did not announce her pregnancy. She instead just posted baby shower photos in January. Just a month before she gave birth to their adorable baby girl. When she did announce the arrival of their baby girl, Mine also revealed that their baby was born at 37 weeks and four days, weighing 2.85kg and was 48cm.
WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT MR AND MRS DE KLERK
Faf proposed to Mine in May 2022. The pair tied the knot at the La Paris Estate in Franschhoek in October 2022. The pair then welcomed their first child together in February.
Faf met his now-wife through mutual friends in Hermanus in December 2015. Mine later invited Faf to a friend’s wedding. The pair’s relationship faced the challenge of long distance. Faf moved to Manchester in 2017 while Mine was working at her father’s pharmacy in Postmasburg, Northern Cape.
Mine has her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree. She graduated in 2016 and is a pharmacist by profession. According to her Instagram biography, she attended North West University. She hails from the town of Postmasburg in the Northern Cape.
During the Covid-19 lockdown, the distance became too much for the pair. They then decided to just be friends.
However, the pair found their way back together in 2021. It is unclear when the pair rekindled their love, but The Citizen reported that the pair were back together in October 2021.
