The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has sent South African-born disc jockey, Black Coffee – real name Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo the best of wishes via an X post shared on Thursday, 11 January. This comes after the Drive hitmaker announced that he had been in a severe travel accident on a flight en route to his scheduled gig in Mar Del Plata recently.
‘SPEEDY RECOVERY’: THE EFF SENDS BLACK COFFEE WELL WISHES
A statement shared on Black Coffee’s Instagram announced that the famous disc jockey had suffered some injuries after he was involved in a travel accident on a flight recently.
“Black Coffee was involved in a severe travel accident on a flight… The incident resulted in unforeseen complications and left him with some injuries,” the statement read.

The statement further stated that the DJ has since received medical attention following the accident. DJ Black Coffee has been hospitalised in the Uruguayan capital Montevideo, Daily Mail reported
“We can confirm that he is receiving the best possible medical attention and is surrounded by a supportive family and team,” the statement added. The exact details of the 47-year-old DJ’s injuries and medical state have not been disclosed.
In the meantime, the EFF has since paid their respect to Black Coffee in a warm post on X. The political party was applauded for their support. Netizens have also flooded the comment section with kind messages, praying for Black Coffee’s “speedy recovery”.
“The EFF wishes Nkosinathi Black Coffee Maphumulo a speedy recovery. Our prayers are with you Black Coffee🙏🏾,” the EFF penned on the timelines.
