‘May God bless you’: Davido’s R3.8m orphanage donation excites fans

Nigerian Afropop musician Davido surprised fans after announcing that he would donate R6.8 million to orphanages.

Nigerian musician Davido announced that he would donate NGN 300 million (R3.8 million) to orphanages.

Davido remains one of the finest Afro-pop musicians in Africa, among others like Burna Boy and Diamond Platnumz. Several times, Davido made headlines primarily out of his music and sometimes fashion and love life.

This time, he left fans praying for him after he did something they were not expecting.

“Omo, nobody do good reach Davido for this life, 001, OBO, agbatagbiti, Best in the world, nobody is coming close 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾” said a fan named @OGBdeyforyou.

DAVIDO ANNOUNCES THE DONATION TO ORPHANAGES

Sharing on his X (Twitter), Davido shared the news with his fans, showing how much he loved his country. “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria” he started sharing the news.

“As my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ ..” he continued, showing that he does it yearly. “Details of disbursement tomorrow 🇳🇬” he finished speaking of when he would share the details.
