‘Côte d’Ivoire have restored world peace’: Cassper Nyovest on Nigeria defeat
South African rapper Cassper Nyovest celebrated Côte d’Ivoire’s Afcon win over Nigeria, saying they brought world peace.

South African rapper Cassper Nyovest celebrated Côte d’Ivoire’s Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) win, saying they restored world peace. Côte d’Ivoire defeated Nigeria in the Afcon final on 11 February, and many South Africans are happy.
This was all after Nigeria defeated Bafana Bafana in the semifinals and claimed they owned Amapiano.

The fans continued clashing on social media, but Nigerian fans seemed to have the bragging rights after the win. All this calmed many South Africans, but they are now happy celebrating with Côte d’Ivoire.

They are also celebrating that their goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams, was the goalkeeper of the tournament. Among the celebrating South Africans was MJ Maponya, who laughed at Nigerians.

Sharing on his Instagram, Cassper said Côte d’Ivoire even gave him an extra medal of honour. “Côte d’Ivoire have restored world peace!!! They deserve the gold medal for winning CAF and an extra medal of Honour!!!” he said.

He continued speaking of how much Nigeria fas did not give them some space to breathe. “@__blessedsinner, hahaha, you guys never left us to breathe. You were even making songs about us rejoicing !!! Feel Am!!” he said.

As Cassper Nyovest hailed Côte d’Ivoire for restoring world peace by beating Nigeria, many South Africans joined him laughing at Nigeria.
