Apart from being a celebrated music icon, Sello Chicco Twala likes to keep his private life just that. Which is why news of him admitting to being DJ Lamiez Holworthy’s biological child surprised much of Mzansi.
The producer – known for working with greats like Brenda Fassie, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, and Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse – made the revelation after the Metro FM DJ posted a pic with him at her son’s christening over the weekend.
CHICCO TWALA CONFIRMS PATERNITY
According to Zimoja, Chicco Twala confirmed he was indeed Lamiez Holworthy’s biological father.
He said: “Yes, Lamiez is my daughter, but I won’t go into details. “
Chicco was a guest at his grandson Leano’s lavish christening service, which close family and friends attended. Leano is Lamiez’s first child with rapper Khuli Chana.

In pics posted on Lamiez’s Instagram account, Chicco embraces Twala as they both smile for the camera. She captioned the image with a heart emoji.
Chicco’s revelation comes as a surprise to fans after Lamiez claimed that her father, Enver Holworthy, had died in 2019.

Longwe and Nowie Twala
Unlike his own quiet life, Chicco Twala’s son Longwe is no stranger to headlines. The musical child star is known for his alleged drug addiction and rehab stints. He’s also known as the ex-boyfriend of Zandie Khumalo, who was present during the shooting of Senzo Meyiwa in 2013.
Longwe and sister Nowie – also in the music business – are Chicco’s children with ex-wife Thembi. It’s unclear when the couple divorced.
Lamiez Holworthy
Lamiez’s mother is Imelda Klow, who is also her manager. In 2003, Imelda married Enver Holworthy, who adopted Lamiez as his own daughter.

The couple have two other children: Lushaan and Lariez.
Lamiez is likely Chicco Twala’s lastborn who was conceived in 1992.
