Hospital bill! Zahara’s sisters allegedly go shopping with her card

Lumka and Bandezwa Mkutukana, the sister of the South African musician Zahara – real name Bulelwa Mkutukana have allegedly been sent packing by the Loliwe hitmaker’s fiancé Mpho Xaba — this comes after they allegedly went on a shopping spree with Zahara’s bank cards amid the family’s plea for financial assistance to cover the musician’s escalating medical bill, ZiMoja reported.

A statement was released on Zahara’s Instagram page on 27 November. It announced that she was admitted to hospitalised after suffering from physical pains. “Zahara has been admitted to hospital for a week following complaints about physical pains,” the statement read.

The 36-year-old award-winning musician was admitted at the ICU at a private hospital.

Shortly after the statement was released, It was reported that she needed financial assistance for more tests to be performed to further determine how far she could be assisted medically — her family reportedly couldn’t help out because they too allegedly didn’t have enough money, ZiMoja previously reported.

“Zahara is still awaiting more funds to do more tests before she can be put in the long queue for a liver transplant. But no one is coming to assist her, despite promises done privately by some of her music industry colleagues, a source quoted by the publication reportedly said.

It has now been recently reported that Zahara’s sisters have recently gone on a shopping spree while the musician is busy “fighting for her life” in hospital. After the incident, they were allegedly sent packing by Mpho Xaba who is traditionally married to the star.

Another source speaking with the publication reportedly spilled the tea and said Zahara’s sisters Lumka and Bandezwa Mkutukana, who were occupying her house in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg took her bank card and became big spenders, shopping and swiping away in town.

“The two sisters went shopping while their sister lay in a hospital bed fighting for her life. They went to Small Street, downtown Jozi where they bought all the fake brands from Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Diesel, and other brands… They got some cheap make-up too. Their bags were full of fake material,” the source was quoted as saying.
