In the presence of the musician’s family, friends and colleagues, Xaba shared their love story; telling mourners how they met.

The engineer revealed that the first time they saw each other they had an intimate conversation about life. A week later, the Destiny singer called him and they arranged to meet. However, Xaba says he stood her up three times before their first date, as he had reservations about being romantically involved with a celebrity.

“She never responded for about a week after that. And then, that’s when I realised that ‘wait a minute, maybe something is happening here’. I then reached out,” Xaba shared.

“I was part of a very human and real side of her. I know a lot of things. I know her mind, I know her emotions, I know her naked frailties,” he added.

Xaba also told a funny story that, as part of their intimacy, he used to write Zahara long messages to reassure her of his love. However, he said, the songstress was not too impressed with his long texts as she was lazy to read, so he resorted to sending her long voice notes and videos which she loved.
