‘I salute you’: TS Records Boss praised for tribute to Zahara

‘Thank you for helping this talented soul’: TS Records boss TK Nciza was praised by South Africans after his tribute to Zahara.

TS Records boss Thembinkosin ‘TK’ Nciza was praised by South Africans after he posted his tribute to the award-winning musician Zahara – real name Bulelwa Mkutukana who died on Monday, 11 December.

SA PRAISES TS RECORDS BOSS TK NCOZA AFTER HIS TRIBUTE POST TO ZAHARA

TK Nciza took to Instagram and paid tribute to the late Loliwe hitmaker. He spoke about her talent and also briefly revisited their controversial relationship.

”Goodnight Mtanam (my child). I can finish the whole book talking about you. One thing though, I must celebrate you with many South Africans because you were indeed a South African treasure,” Nciza penned.

“Your talent and us coming together created magic the whole country and the world is talking about you today for different reasons, but one common thing is your music. That makes me proud because I am one of the few who can talk about Zahara and that humbles me,” he said.

“One thing is for sure, we had our ups and downs like any other child and his father, but we understood what we meant to each other. [I] will write a book one day about your power to heal through that powerful voice of yours. Masthathu [clan name] good night. You made history [and] I am glad [that] I was part of it. One thing [is] for sure, as they say, you are a victim of your own success. Lala ngoxolo [RIP] Masthathu,” Nciza concluded.

Zahara’s memorial service will be held on Thursday, 14 December at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg, Johannesburg. She will be laid to rest on 23 December in East London, Eastern Cape. According to SABC, the Eastern Cape Premier, Oscar Mabuyane also paid tribute to Zahara and was quoted as saying, “We thank her family for lending her talent to the world. we sadly have been robbed of her future successes. our deepest condolences to the family and the arts and culture sphere who walked this road with Zahara.”
