WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT LUCAS RADEBE
The legendary footballer, Lucas Radebe revealed in an in Mail and Guardian interview that he was born in Diepkloof in Soweto and comes from a sporty family, as his late brother was an athlete, while his sisters were great netballers. His uncles also played sports, while his late dad was a boxer.
- He is a proud father of eight children and values family because it has played a critical role in his life.
- His first wife Feziwe Faith Radebe passed away in 2008 after a long battle with cancer.
- Radebe has since walked down the aisle in 2015 and his new wife is Thobela Silver.
- The footballer and businessman’s 30-year-old son is TikToker and content creator, Ofentse Primo Baloyi.
Radebe recently made headlines when TshisaLIVE reported that while SAFA has attempted to shut him down for the presidency role, the legendary footballer has received encouragement from South Africans on social media.
Sunday World also reports that Danny Jordaan, 72, has been at the helm since 2013 and SAFA has since been clouded by controversy relating to financial mismanagement and reported corruption.
