Springbok and Sharks player Eben Etzebeth may be one of the most loved rugby players in South Africa. He’s also one of the scariest on the pitch, given his quick temper.
The 31-year-old has made headlines for his numerous fights with his opponents on the field.
Eben and the rest of the Sharks squad will take on the Bulls in a United Rugby Championship derby on Saturday, 2 December. The game will take place on home turf for the Bulls, at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

They may be Springbok colleagues now, but Eben and Lood, who played for Stormers and Cheetahs, had a massive brawl on the pitch.

Eben vs Brodie Retallick
Over the years, Eben has had multiple scuffles with the All Blacks player. But Brodie told RugbyPass it’s all harmless fun.
He said: “It’s all part of the game; it’s pretty friendly off the field. We have a beer afterwards, I guess we’re just competitive people.”

2022: SA vs Australia
In a Rugby Championship test match, a furious Eben Etzebeth took out his frustrations on Australia’s Allan Alaalatoa in a viral video.
Hilariously, the duo later shared a beer and called a truce.
2023: Rugby World Cup: SA vs Scotland
Eben’s latest stint came just weeks ago during the Springboks’s World Cup pool group game with Scotland.
