Oros Mampofu joins ‘Gqeberha: The Empire’ as Ntando Mxenge
Talented actor Oros Mampofu has joined Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, ‘Gqeberha: The Empire’ as the second Ntando Mxenge.

Former Skeem Saam actor Oros Mampofu has replaced Phila Madlingozi for the role of Ntando Mxenge in Gqeberha: The Empire.

OROS MAMPOFU: NTANDO MXENGE
A Gqeberha: The Empire insider revealed to Zimoja this week that actor Phila Madlingozi has been replaced with Oros Mampofu as Zimkitha’s (Zandile Msutwana) son, Ntando.
“After he was fired. The company looked for other candidates that would best suit his role and Oros was the best out of everyone,” said the source.
The source also added: ” Oros will be joining from season two. They started shooting mid-November.”
DStv has confirmed that the isiXhosa telenovela has been renewed for a second season following the departure of leading actor Mbulelo Grootboom, who played Luzuko Mxenge.
Entertainment commentator Jabu Mcdonalds has shared a photo of Mampofu in his new role alongside his on-screen brother Thulani, played by Tembinkosi Ngcukana.
The Mzansi Magic telenovela also introduced fan-favourite isiXhosa actor Bongile Mantsai as Luzuko’s brother, Hlumelo Mxenge in November.
The South African reached out to Mr Madlingozi who was not available for a comment at the time of publishing this article.
