‘Fake universe’: Bryoni’s soccer bae reacts to early pageant exit
Ex Kaizer Chiefs star Samir Nurkovic seemingly gave the Miss Universe pageant the middle finger after girlfriend Bryoni Govender’s exit.

Former Kaizer Chiefs player Samir Nurkovic has shown his public support for his girlfriend Bryoni Govender after she bowed out in the Miss Universe Top 20.
The Miss SA runner-up ended her journey at the pageant, despite being a fan favourite to take the crown.
Ultimately, Miss Nicaragua Sheynnis Palacious was crowned the winner at the glittering ceremony in El Salvador.

BRYONI GOVENDER MAKES TOP 20
Sadly, Bryoni Govender’s dreams of winning the Miss Universe crown were dashed when her journey ended in the Top 20.
Miss SA pageant organisers said in an official post: “Congratulations. You’ve made the nation proud, and we will forever be rooting for you”.
In September, Bryoni was announced as South Africa’s Miss Universe representative after Miss SA winner Natasha Joubert was ruled out of the competition after previously competing in 2020.

For her national costume, the 26-year-old law graduate wore an “Indo-Afro” look, representing her unique culture.
In an interview with pageant vlogger Luis Portelles, she said, “Being different should become your superpower because that makes you unique. We are all born to stand out, not fit in. Growing up, it can be hard to navigate, but don’t give up!”

SOCCER BAE IS UNHAPPY?
Reacting to Bryoni’s placement, Samir Nurkovic posted in an Instagram Story: “We have our own Bryoniverse. Let them have that fake universe”.
The Serbian star – who played for Kaizer Chiefs from 2019 -2022 – has been dating the Gauteng beauty for several years.
He’s also been a supportive pageant spouse, having shown his public support on her Miss Universe journey.
“My queen,” he gushed in one post.
