A month after lifting the Rugby World Cup, Springbok Handre Pollard faced off against some of his South African colleagues during their Leicester Tigers vs Stormers clash on Sunday.
The famous flyhalf – who won player of the match – helped his UK team win 35-26 in the Investec Champions Cup opener.
The game was played on the Tigers’ home turf at the Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium.

HANRE POLLARD SHUTS DOWN THE STORMERS
After scoring a Rugby World Cup-winning try for the Springboks a few weeks ago, Handre Pollard recreated the same magic for his UK club, Leicester Tigers.
The 29-year-old player helped the club score 20 points in the clash against the Stormers.
“The Handrè Pollard Show”, an official X account for the Champions Cup tweeted.

Sadly, it wasn’t a Springbok reunion as players Manie Libbok, Deon Fourie, and Damian Willemse sat out the game.
Instead, the trio lifted the Webb Ellis Cup trophy to the crowd at the Cape Town Stadium at the local leg of the Sevens World Series.
Giving credit to his home country, Handre said during his Player of The Match segment: “They left a few big names at home, but South African rugby has a lot of depth. Unbelievable effort from them”.

CELEBRATING HIS WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Just days before dazzling on the pitch, Pollard posted a sweet Instagram post celebrating his sixth wedding anniversary to wife, Marise.
He shared: “Year 6 of being married to you has been crazy, but by far the best and most memorable of them all. I love you so much and can’t wait to grow our family with you”.
