‘Undefeated!’: Cyril Ramaphosa hails Springboks’ finals record

President Cyril Ramaphosa was full of praise as he addressed the double World Cup-winning Springboks at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.

The Springboks Trophy Tour continued as the Rugby World Cup champions visited the Union Buildings in Pretoria where President Cyril Ramaphosa was full of praise.

Ramaphosa was full of energy as he welcomed the arriving Springboks men’s rugby team to the Union Buildings. The victorious World Cup squad is in the nation’s capital for the second leg of their national victory tour.

CYRIL RAMAPHOSA IN AWE OF SPRINGBOKS’ RECORD

On Thursday the 2nd of November, President Cyril Ramaphosa led the way in congratulating the Springboks on a gruelling but ultimately rewarding Rugby World Cup campaign which saw them beat New Zealand’s All Blacks to clinch the Webb Ellis trophy for the fourth time. This historic feat was underlined by the fact that the Springboks have never lost a final in which they’ve contested at the World Cup.

South Africa’s president piled on the praise in his address to the team when he said, “This is a moment of great celebration and it is a joy for me to receive you here at the Union Buildings, at the executive seat of our government. Ama Bokke Bokke, Die Bokke, you are the reigning, victorious, undefeated champions of the world in rugby. I want that to sink in, undefeated! You came back with this wonderful, beautiful, gold heavy trophy, you brought it back to South Africa as you promised to do.”

SPRINGBOKS’ TROPHY TOUR CONTINUES

The celebrations continued in Pretoria on Thursday ahead of the next leg of the Springboks’ Trophy Tour. They will be touching down in Cape Town on Friday before visiting Durban and East London on Saturday and Sunday.
