LAWRENCE MALEKA: ‘THINK OF THE FIRST TIME YOU STARTED’

The River actor and host of Big Brother Mzansi season four, Lawrence Maleka asked South Africans to be kinder to the “new” Biggie.

A fan of the show @KamogeloMoririi tweeted: “@Lawrence_Maleka a ke rate (I don’t like) voice ya Big Brother. I don’t think it’s even worth it to call him “Big Brother” with that voice. Ngizwa ngathi uyingane (He sounds like a kid).”

To which Maleka replied: “Think of the first time you started at something. How you prayed that it works out. How kind and patient those who were far more experienced than you were or rather how you wish they could have been.”

Fans of the reality TV show have been unimpressed with the “new” and “unfamiliar” Biggie, who debuted last Sunday, 21 January.

@bokanilebogang said: “Bring back our Biggie’s voice, the original one from Big Brother Africa, Sfiso Makhubu.”

@aayandaa_ tweeted: “Someone said Biggie’s voice is giving Cocomelon.”

Cocomelon is popular a kiddie’s entertainment and educational show which features a variety of nursery rhymes and kids’ songs.

SOUTH AFRICANS RESPOND TO ‘BIG BROTHER MZANSI’ HOST

@CLG3000: “Wow. What an eye-opening response. We often expect grace from others but are not willing to give out grace. Thank you, Lawrence. Will definitely give him a chance.”

@Tlale_2: “Best answer ever. He will get the hang of it, and he is already improving. I wonder what the ones complaining would do if they were to know there was once a lady Biggie.

@BlazingLEGOs: “With all the technologies in this world you guys can’t even deepen than voice?”

@BlessMaBless: “Lawrence I’m not worried about Biggies voice. I’m actually worried about the housemate being boring especially on pool parties and Saturday night parties. How can you be at a party then sit and complain the entire time instead of partying? They need to be reminded where they are.”
