Speaking to the media at OR Tambo, Grant Kekana shared his appreciation for Julius Malema.

He said of the EFF CIC: “He’s always been in my corner. That’s family. He always wants the best of the best. He doesn’t do mediocre, and that’s another motivation for us. That’s why we always have to level up when we play. I appreciate his message.

He continued: “He’s done so much in the past 10 years. He’s also been written off, but he’s always come up stronger. The change that he wants to see will be brought by him”.

Last week, Malema praised Grant Kekana for his performance in the Afcon semi-final against Nigeria. In it, the 31-year-old player was given a red carpet for an apparent foul.

“Well done, my boy. A soldier must die with his boots on,” the EFF leader tweeted from his X app.

Responding, Kekana tweeted: “My president.”
