‘Like father, like son’: Tony Forbes roasts AKA’s ‘big nose and ears’

On Tuesday, 16 January, Tony Forbes, the father of the slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes who’s popularly known as AKA, posted a photo of his late son and had his social media friends and followers agreeing with him after he joked about some of the rapper’s “big” facial features.

AKA—real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes was gunned down last year on the evening of 10 February in Durban by an unknown gunman. His father, Tony Forbes gushed over his late son while playfully roasting his “bog” facial features that resemble his.
He posted a black and white photo of himself wearing a T-shirt with a picture of AKA on it and captioned: “You have such a big nose and ears 😂💔😢😃🫂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”. Social media followers couldn’t help but point out that the slain rapper simply resembled his father.

It’s been almost a year since the rapper was killed and no suspects have been arrested. However, two people who know “for sure” how AKA ended up dead are being kept safe, TshisaLIVE reported.
During an interview with Faith Mangope on Metro FM, Minister Bheki Cele opened up on the latest in AKA’s murder investigation. He was quoted as saying: “We have found the getaway car, the gun has been found. They have found two people who I know for sure are kept safe because they know very well what happened on the particular day, who have given information for the police to get the gun, for the police to get the car. Those things are in the hands of the police as we speak.”
“We know who we are chasing. And those two guys must be kept very safe because they know what happened on that day, and even beyond what happened, [they know] about the networks,” Cele reportedly added.
