Lady Du shares important advice on Instagram

Local songstress Lady Du has been through over the last few months but continues to keep her head up.

The musician just headed online to share some advice with her fans about the importance of living within their means and staying humble.

According to her, she doesn’t consider herself a celebrity and acts normally around her friends and family who don’t know her as Lady Du but as Dudu.

“People that are my friends are people I have a long relationship with, I don’t take myself as a celebrity and when I go to my friends and my family they’ll also tell you, there are no changes, I’m still Dudu, I’m not Lady Du and I never make them feel like I’m better than them.”

She then went on to advise them to stop buying into the premise that wearing Gucci and Louis Vuitton means that someone is doing well and is successful.

Be a helping hand

The young musician says that people should stay away from pretending just to keep up with trends.

She also advised that people help other people where they can.

“Don’t wait for your friend to ask for money if you see they need it. Sometimes just send your friend some money. Do not fall in love with living a fake life, because you have to sustain the lie.”
