The FNB stadium was packed to capacity on Saturday 29 July as Economic Freedom Fighter supporters flocked there to celebrate the party’s 10th birthday. Pictures and video footage from the event has flooded the internet as social media users discuss the party’s leader Julius Malema and how big the event was.
And now many are partaking in the “Julius Malema challenge” which sees people being lifted into the sky with a raised fist to mimic Malema who put on quite the show at the event.

SA partakes in the Malema Challenge
This weekend Julius Malema achieved his goal of filling up the FNB stadium in celebration of the Economic Freedom Fighters’ 10th birthday.
Thousands of people headed to the stadium dressed in their red EFF regalia to support the “commander” Julius Malema.
Photos from the event have been circulating on social media ever since and have impressed many people.

So much so that many of them are now participating in what they are calling the Julius Malema challenge.
The challenge sees hilarious locals standing on platforms and being raised into the sky the same way the EFF leader was at the event.

Mzansi weighs in
The post has left social media users howling. While everyone is discussing his crass response to Elon Musk concerns over him chanting the Kill The Boer struggle song, many of them spared a minute to laugh at the funny clips.
“I watched this video without sound and I JUST KNOW what’s happening here. South Africans are funny,” one person commented.
Another added:
“That’s exactly why I’ll never trade this country for anything”
