Zimbabwean dancehall artist Winky D’s age was revealed as he celebrated his birthday on 1 January. Winky D had been one of the country’s most talented but controversial musicians with hit songs like Ibotso.

Over the years, Winky D evolved his music from hard-core dancehall to social commentary. He had been speaking out about the deteriorating Zimbabwean economy, but many believed he was an opposition puppet.

All this made him divide fans as some opposition fans loved him while ruling party supporters did not. With such a controversial career, many fans have been asking about Winky D’s personal life.

Surprisingly, little is known about his personal life as he keeps it under wraps. This made anything about his personal life of great interest among fans.

When celebrating his birthday, he did not even share anything about it on social media. That’s how private he is when it comes to his social life. It was fellow musician Gemma Griffiths who wished him well, and that’s when most fans knew about his birthday.

Born Wallace Chirimuko, Winky D was born on 1 January 1983 and celebrated his 41st birthday. Wallace was born in Kambuzuma, Harare, Zimbabwe before he moved to Zimre Park in the same city. Since then, he has kept his life private; nothing is known about his family.
