Former Liverpool footballer Sadio Mane has shocked the public after he secretly wed teen bride Aisha Tamba in a ceremony over the weekend. But what of his reported South African bae, sports presenter Melissa Reddy?
Sadio and Aisha – who is 18 – wed in his home country of Senegal. The star – who is 31 – plays alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.
SADIO MANE WEDS TEEN BRIDE
According to Sports Brief, Sadio Mane tied the knot with Aisha Tamba in a lavish Islamic ceremony in Dakar on Sunday, 7 January. The wedding was attended by family, friends, and fellow footballers, reports the publication.
Sadio – who returned home to Senegal to compete in his national team at the Afcon tournament – wore a simple white traditional garment. His bride wore a modest wedding gown, as seen in pics posted on social media.

Although Sadio has kept his love life under wraps, Sene News claims he fell in love with Aisha, who hails from his hometown of Bambali. According to the publication, Aisha is the daughter of an architect and speaks the native Mandingo language.
It’s unclear when the couple began dating.
In 2022, Sadio opened up about the type of woman he would marry.
He told Tribuna: “I’ve seen a lot of girls asking me why I am not married, but sorry you might be wasting your time. The woman I marry will not be on social networks.
He added: “I want to marry a woman who respects God and prayers well. Everyone has their own way of making their choice of love.”
RUMOURED ROMANCE WITH MELISSA REDDY
With Sadio Mane officially off the market, many are wondering what happened between the footballer and his reported South African girlfriend Melissa Reddy.
According to the Irish Sun, the soccer star and the SuperSport presenter began dating in late 2022. This, after she interviewed him while he was still playing for UK club Liverpool.
Although the rumoured couple never confirmed or denied the claims, several pictures of them together have been posted on social media.

Melissa isn’t the only SA beauty allegedly linked to Sadio. According to reports, the soccer player was also allegedly on friendly terms with another female sports TV star, Carol Tshabalala.
