Lights, camera, and a lot of action – the 2024 Academy Awards took the film industry by storm this weekend. If you missed the live broadcast, fret not! Tonight, on 11 March, E! is bringing the glitz and glamour of the red carpet right into your living room. The channel will be airing Live From E!: The Oscars.

STARS AT THE OSCARS

Get ready for an unforgettable night of star-studded elegance, witty commentary, and a sneak peek into Hollywood’s hottest trends.

Hosted by the fabulous Laverne Cox, this year’s Live From E!: The Oscars promises to be the talk of the town according to People.

You can tune in at 17:00 and 23:00 (CAT) on E! (DStv 124) to catch all the action. Laverne Cox will be joined by an eclectic panel featuring Zanna Roberts Rassi, Zuri Hall, comedian Heather McMahan, and designer Christian Siriano.

This year’s awards were dominated by two standout films: Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and the record-breaking Barbie.

Oppenheimer racked up an impressive 13 nominations, with stars Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, and Robert Downey Jr. stealing the spotlight.

The film took home 7 awards, including the coveted Best Picture.

RYAN GOSLING PERFORMS

On the other hand, Barbie, the highest-grossing film of 2023, secured eight Oscar nominations. It also clinched the Best Song award, with stellar performances by Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera.

The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood witnessed a star-studded affair. Acting icons such as Jennifer Lawrence, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o, Michelle Yeoh, Dwayne Johnson, Zendaya, and Nicolas Cage graced the red carpet.
