American actor and author Jada Pinkett Smith shared that Will Smith’s infamous 2022 Oscars slap help saved their marriage.

JADA SAYS WILL SMITH’S OSCAR SLAP SAVED HER MARRIAGE
In a new interview with the Daily Mail, Jada revealed that after years of trying to mend their broken marriage, a slap saved their marriage. in turn allowing her to realise that she will never leave her husband.
“After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him”, she told the Daily Mail in an interview published on Saturday, the 9 December.
The further notes and ponders on where they would be as a couple if the slap didn’t happen.
“Who knows where our relationship would be if that hadn’t happened?”
Jada and Will has been married since 1997, but the couple shockingly revealed in October that they had been separated for seven years.

‘THE HOLY SLAP’
During the interview Jada Pinkett Smith recalls how everything changed after her husband charged onstage to slap Chris Rock for making fun about his wife’s alopecia.
Jada also notes how so many positive things came from that evening at the 2022 Oscars.
“I call it the ‘holy slap’ now because so many positive things came after it”, the actress told the media outlet.
She also added that she was “glad” she was at the event despite “nearly” missing it.
“That moment of the s–t hitting the fan is when you see where you really are”, Jada said.
