In a new Interview Nigerian musician and songstress Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, shares a sweet reaction to South African artist Tyla after sharing how much Tems inspires her as an African artist.

TEMS IS FROM ANOTHER WORLD

Tyla’s sweet message to the Nigerian artist comes after she was asked which about the Black Women in Music who inspire her. In response to that question Tyla eagerly mentioned Tems as one of her biggest inspirations in music.

In addition to this the budding South African artist mentioned how she’s a fan of the Afrobeat artist and how she’s inspired by Tems’ contribution to African Music on a global scale.

“She’s an African woman! She’s killing the game globally!”.

Tyla continues: “Everybody love her music, me especially! I’m so excited for her and for the things that she’s doing for African music”.

The South African artist also mentions how through Tems’ impact, she is becoming a role model for female African artists.

“She’s becoming a role model for other African female artists. She’s literally from another world. She is amazing!”, Tyla expressed.

GIRLS SUPPORTING GIRLS

In response to Tyla’s sweet message Tems who was in awe expressed how honoured she felt by Tyla’s compliment.

“Man, it is an honour”, the Nigerian singer said.

Tems continued: I’m very very, 100% sure that she’s inspiring many many many many South African babe, many girls around the world as well”.

Tems also describes how being able to inspire people is a blessing that she doesn’t take for granted.

“I think it is a blessing to inspire someone, because not everybody can do that. People can judge, people can criticize, people can state an opinion, but not everyone can see someone and grab inspiration”.
