‘No fear’: Bafana fans on Nigeria’s Osimhen fit for semifinals

Nigeria’s soccer star Victor Osimhen has been declared fit to play against Bafana Bafana in AFCON semifinal on Wednesday.

Bafana Bafana fans took to social media on Tuesday, 6 February to respond to reports that Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen will play in the semifinals.

Diski Times sportscaster, Lorenz Kohler revealed on X on Tuesday evening that Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen is declared fit to face Bafana Bafana.

Super Eagles told the publication in a statement: “Victor Osimhen has been declared fit and available for selection in the semi-final clash against South Africa on Wednesday. He has joined the team in Bouaké and has trained with the squad today.”

This comes after team officials revealed to SuperSport on Tuesday that Victor Osimhen might miss the Bafana Bafana AFCON (Africa Cup of Nations) semifinal.

Spokesman Babafemi Raji revealed that Osimhen did not join the squad on Monday, 5 February due to an abdominal discomfort.

“Team medics confirmed that he has been placed under close watch with a member of the medical team staying behind in Abidjan with him,” the statement read.
