A few months ago, billionaire couple Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Jay-Z born Shawn Carter decided to keep their Bel-Air estate after splurging R3.8 billion on a record purchase of a Malibu mansion.

The two bought the 2-acre Bel-Air mansion in 2017 for R1.6 billion.

However, it was revealed that they considering keeping their Bel-Air mansion as their home residence despite splurging R3.8 billion ($ 200 million) on their new Malibu mansion.

Reports have it that the mansion is close to their children’s schools and friends.

The power couple shares two fraternal twins, Sir Carter and Rumi Carter and their older sister Blue Ivy Carter.

NEW MANSION

Beyoncé and Jay-Z recently made headlines when they splurged R3.4 billion ($ 200 million) on a Malibu concrete compound on an eight-acre bluff.

The purchase went down in real estate history books as the second most expensive real estate deal in the United States after hedge fund giant Kent Griffin’s acquisition in 2019.

Kent purchased an R4.6 billion ($238 million) penthouse in Central Park South in New York City.

Jay-Z’s Malibu mansion, which will serve as a weekend home, overlooks the Pacific Ocean in the Paradise Cove area best known as the Billionaires’ Role.

Apart from that, the couple has several properties dotted around Europe. The two also own a lush $26 million seven-bedroom mansion in Hampton.
