John Smit remains one of the finest players to wear the Springboks jersey.

Unlike some recent players, the legendary captain is not a very visible person, especially on social media.
With such a reasonably quiet life after his retirement, it seemed many fans had forgotten about him.

He did not know much about his family, the people he now spends more time with.
Fortunately, Smit showed his wife on Instagram as he recalled their best vacation in Mozambique.
