Behind the millions? Pics of Malema and Uebert Angel resurface
SA Twitter users have questioned the legitimacy of Julius Malema’s wealth after he was pictured with ‘Gold Mafia’ boss Uebert Angel.

With so much going on in South Africa, people have hardly had the chance to react to the Al Jazeera Gold Mafia documentary that has made waves online. The documentary exposes the elaborate money laundering and gold smuggling schemes between British-Zimbabwean prophet Uebert Angel and a number of other high-profile people. South African political leader Julius a Malema has entered the conversation around the illegal operation after photos surfaced of him and prophet Angel who appears to be a main component in the mind-blowing scheme.
Many South Africans have wondered aloud whether or not Malema and his party the Economic Freedom Fighters benefited from multimillion-rand schemes.

Photo of Malema and controversial prophet Uebert Angel resurfaces
Zimbabwean-born Britain-based prophet and businessman Uebert Angel has been trending ever since he was featured in an Al Jazeera expose.
In the documentary titled Gold Mafia, the controversial prophet tells two undercover journalists pretending to need money cleaned that he can arrange for the money to be exchanged for Zimbabwean gold bars.

And now photos of Malema and Uebert which were taken around 2018/19 have resurfaced on social media.
In one of the photos, the pair are dining together while in another they are posing beside controversial prophet Bushiri.

Mzansi weighs in
The posts have been trending on social media as users wondered what Malema and Uebert Angel’s relationship is.
Many of them questioned the origin of Malema’s wealth.
“That’s why he promotes foreigners to stay in SA,” wrote one person while another added:
“I bet my last cent if we investigated #UebertAngel’s financial transactions for the past 10 years somewhere along the line there are funds and monies transferred to Julius Malema through proxy bank accounts. I am confident EFF benefitted from the #GoldMafia.”
