‘Not doing it for myself’: Emtee ‘doesn’t like’ any of his own songs

South African rapper Emtee – real name Mthembeni Ndevu — just had an interesting interview with fellow musician L-Tido. A snippet of his interview on L-Tido’s podcast has been shared online and is both hilarious and informative. In the interview posted on L-Tido’s YouTube channel, he shares how he also experienced apartheid in his younger days, how things are in his personal life and what he thinks about his career so far.
While many asked whether or not he was high on something during the interview, others loved the episode and sang L-Tido’s praises for doing so well.

Emtee opens up in podcast interview
Emtee was once one of South Africa’s hottest rappers. A few problems in his personal life as well as his problem with drugs led to a brief fall from grace.
He is however working hard to make a come back and still has the respect of his millions of fans who can’t forget how talented he is.
He recently joined L-Tido on his podcast and left viewers highly entertained.

In the clip, he opens up about how he feels about his music. Interestingly enough, he says that he doesn’t like any of his own music.
According to the 28-year-old, he doesn’t make the music for himself but for his fans..
I don’t know, I don’t like my own s#!t, I’m doing it for the people, not for myself.”
“I can do better. I don’t like no song of mine. I don’t ever want to get a big head saying I’m the best this or that, I ain’t the best at s#!t. Everything I do, I’m trying,” he tells L-Tido.

SA has nothing but love
Many in the comment section couldn’t help but show him love as he opened up about his life and his career. A lot of them shared kind words of encouragement.
“Emtee him bro. Don’t give him no flowers give him gas. He has much more in him. Big hussle!” a fan wrote while another added:
