DJ SUMBODY ALLEGEDLY STOLE MILLIONS FROM AYEPYEP

According to Sunday World, the DJ allegedly stole millions from Ayepyep. However, little is known about how much he took from the joint.

The news was revealed by the slain DJ’s business partner in a series of WhatsApp messages he sent to the artist’s younger brother Koketso Sefoka in March.

In the wake of the news, South Africans have been trying to connect the dots about his untimely death and what happened to the millions he allegedly stole from the joint.

The DJ was gunned down in a hail of bullets in Woodmead, Johannesburg, in 2022. Despite his death, the police are yet to make any arrests despite claiming progress on the case.

MAKING HEADLINES

In the backdrop of his death, Ayepyep’s ownership wrangle has made headlines for the wrong reasons. Despite DJ Sumbody’s mother being the executrix of his estate, it was reported that she was barred from the joint by her son’s business partner Kagiso Setsetse.

To make matters worse, police were at some point called in to restore order after the two parties had a nasty fallout at the joint.

On the other hand, DJ Sumbody’s business reportedly fled South Africa for Dubai for security reasons after he made it known that his life was in danger.

A few weeks ago, it was reported that Kagiso Setsetse had lost the Ayepyep Cape Town branch to alleged 28s gang leader Ralph Stanfield. Setsetse, over the months, had accused the suspected mafia boss of extortion regarding the Cape Town joint.

However, Stanfield recently rubbished the claims and took a swipe at Kagiso Setsetse for swindling DJ Sumbody’s fortune.

According to Sunday World, Stanfield said Setsetse took DJ Sumbody’s birth and death certificate to claim an R15 million Momentum Life Insurance policy payout.
