Clout chasing? Cassper slammed for tribute song to AKA

Rapper Cassper Nyovest has come under fire following the release of his tribute song dedicated to fellow late rapper and archrival AKA.

CASSPER CRITICISED FOR TRIBUTE SONG TO AKA
While Casper’s fans celebrated the release of his album, Solomon, on Friday, 15 September, AKA’s fans were not happy with his tribute to the slain rapper, titled Candlelight.
“That man hated Kiernan let’s not act like if he loved him..A lot happened and now that a song has been dedicated to Kiernan we should act like he really cared about Forbes… nah man,” said one fan.
“Cassper never made a tribute song for Riky Rick, DJ Sumbody who were his friends. Let alone HHP, who put him on. Mara has the nerve to do one for Kiernan, his “enemy”?!?!. Cum’on!!. This guy is fake as hell🤦🏻♂️. Yes, Kiernan made your career but he’s no more. Stand on ur own!” said another.
“Cassper Nyovest is shameless and evil. That fake ass can do anything for clout, money and relevance,” another fan wrote.

‘I WAS JUST AS HURT AS THE MEGACY’
The Fela In Versace hitmaker, real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, was brutally murdered in Durban in February this year.

To honour his rival, Cassper penned the song Candlelight, where he reminisces about his interactions with AKA. He also expresses his sorrow at the untimely death of the rapper who was also affectionately known as Supa Mega.
“This time is for the legacy. I don’t do it just to do it, this is therapy. And if this sh*t don’t exist then we develop it. And when I heard it I was just as hurt as the Megacy, uh.
“Man, our battle was the highlight. I was confused when you came and gave me high fives. A very important featurе in my life. And you still shining, yeah, we see you in thе starlights, yeah,” raps Cassper.

Cassper also talks about visiting the Forbes to convey his condolences after AKA’s passing and also jokes that his father, Tony Forbes, may just be cooler than the late rapper.
“The other day I went to see your family, and I was scared cause I thought that they’d be mad at me. But they embraced me, your momma is a lady and your father might be cooler than you, maybe.”
