Dineo Ranaka’s Cruise With Dineo & Friends was meant to be a fun excursion with fans and celebrities who were passengers on the ship, but it turned out to be a total bust as it never made it to its destination, the Portuguese Island on 29 January as it was supposed to; resulting in disappointed passengers who had paid thousands of rands to be on the cruise ship.

According to Zimjola, passengers who had been on the ship claimed the cruise was a nightmare, the “worst trip of their lives, and a total waste of money.”

According to the cruise’s itinerary, the ship was supposed to depart from MSC New Durban Harbour on 27 January. It was scheduled to reach the Portuguese Island on 29 January before returning to the Durban doc on 30 January.

However, the ship reportedly did not make it to the island or even close to shore because of bad weather conditions. On top of that, the entertainment itinerary and the overall order of the party was also out of whack.

A source who was part of the travellers reportedly detailed that one of the organisers, Dogg Dbn was so intoxicated that he had to be carried to his cabin to pass out.

Other passengers who had boarded the ship were quoted as saying,

“At some point, it felt like we were at Park Station during the festive season; it took us a while to find our bookings and our room allocations, most of the time, we were just hungry, but eventually, we had to make peace with our situation.”

“The most humbling interaction I’ve EVER experienced with friends and fans of Dineo Ranaka. From Zim, Namibia, Malawi, South Africa, Zambia, the UK and and and … the patience with our administrative congestion, the love and respect we showed one another, the warm energy, the fun we had, the business lessons learnt and relationships built, my fellow entertainers/colleagues and staff at MSC… THANK YOU SO MUCH for cruising with us! 🥂🎵🛳️ we did it!”
