Zuki Lamani – the woman Siya Kolisi’s wife Rachel accused of being “thirsty” following their pic together – is appealing to help pay off her R200k student debt.

The influencer and media relations student made the public appeal via her Instagram account.

In 2018, Zuku made headlines after she posted a “flirty” pic with the Springboks star. The pic saw the WAG clap back in a move that social media users claimed made her appear “insecure.”

STUDENT NEEDS HELP TO PAY OFF DEBT

In an Instagram post, Zuki Lamani shared a screenshot of her public appeal, which she had posted on a crowdfunding platform.

In the post – titled “Help Zuki get her qualification,” – the University of Cape Town student revealed she had raked up R240 00 in tertiary fees.

Zuki – a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Media Studies from Khayelitsha – shared: “I am appealing to you to please assist me with my university fees because, without them, I cannot graduate. I will not be able to participate in the job market, rendering me as part of the unemployed youth”.

She continued of her financial struggle: “My current fee balance at UCT is R239 432,11, incurring 1% interest every month. I have applied for NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme), but I was rejected because of the R350k household income cap.

“I form part of the ‘missing middle’ in South Africa with a household income of less than R600 000. I have been denied registration at the institution because of their policy on fee blocks and, therefore, cannot continue with my studies”.

Sharing her banking details, Zuki added that “any contribution and assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.”

WILL SIYA KOLISI SAVE THE DAY?

Zuki’s plea found its way on Twitter, where tweeps tagged various high-profile people to assist her, including UCT’s former vice-chancellor Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng.

Surprisingly, one tweep tagged Springboks captain Siya Kolisi.

“Siya might help”, the tweep shared.

In 2018, Zuki posted a picture of her meeting the star rugby player on her Instagram account. In the pic, the half-embracing duo stares and smiles at each other.

The pic quickly went viral but for all the wrong reasons. Zuki – who admitted that Siya was her celebrity crush – was indirectly labelled “thirsty” by his wife Rachel, who left a comment under the post.

TWEEPS REVISIT RACHEL KOLISI’S ‘INSECURE’ ANTICS

While Rachel may be a star WAG, she has made headlines for being “insecure” and “jealous” over hubby Siya Kolisi’s female fans.

Just months before the player’s pic with Zuki, Rachel clapped back at another woman on social media that claimed Siya was her “type.”

Taking to her Twitter account – which she has since deleted – Rachel clapped back: “[Siya’s] not ‘a type’. He’s a married man responsible for four children.”

In a separate tweet, she added: “Just a side note. I’ve been there for all the good times. But I’ve also been there for ALL the bad times. Honestly, this should go without saying. Respect my relationship and woman to woman. Respect me.”

In March 2019, Rachel Kolisi trended again when she named and shamed a Cape Town woman she accused of “sliding” into her husband’s DMs.

“Just wondering what her a** is doing in my husband’s DMs?” she shared alongside a pic of the woman wearing a thong.

She added: “In case you haven’t heard, I don’t like being disrespected.”

According to the woman – fitness model Marike Botha – Rachel got it all wrong.

She shared in a series of Instagram Stories.”Siya Kolisi slid into my DM’s. Sends me the post that I posted on IG. His wife sees this and makes it look like I’m sending him my a**. The post is on my IG!”.

She added: “At first, I deleted the post, but why should I make myself look guilty? Keep your husband under a tighter leash. I’m not going to try and defend myself, but I have 100s of people messaging me telling me I’m a slut. What about him sliding into my DMs?”

Rachel – who did not respond to the allegations – was dragged by social media users and was labelled “insecure” over the incident.
